Mozart was born to a musical family in Salzburg in 1756. When he was still a baby, he was already showing exceptional talent in music. As soon as he arrived, he wrote it all down fluently and confidently. And it is said that there is rarely any mistake in his manuscript. The first symphony was composed when Mozart was only 8 years old and four years later, he conquered one of the hardest musical genres, i.e., opera, and wrote the famous La Finta Semplice. Mozart's father Mozart was given the name, Amadeus, which means ‘loved by God'. Perhaps he was so loved that he had to bid farewell to the world when he was only 35 years old, leaving us with an unfinished Requiem. Although he died young, he composed an enormous amount of music during his 30 years composing life. That included around 20 operas, 50 symphonies, and hundreds of sonatas, chamber music and lied. His music is simple yet sophisticated, playful though elegant. The sincerity in the music has touched the heart of many and it will continue to be so. picture
